Ephemera / Charta is a site-specific installation.
Made of suspended baking paper, the installation evokes images far removed from the practical function of this ordinary kitchen material. Its familiar associations are quietly transfigured.
The suspended forms may visually recall a primordial haven, a cocoon, a bridge of arboreal elements, a space that invites dwelling, surrounding the viewer with its translucent folds.
It may be experienced as comforting — a place to pause, to rest, to feel gently enveloped — or, conversely, as an entangled web of hanging tendrils.
The white sheets diffuse light through subtle variations of transparency, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and estranging.
