15 x 20 cm
Rounded forms lie as if scattered across an aseptic surface.
They seem to approach and lightly touch one another.
The photographs depict boiled eggs undergoing mould growth, spotted with small orange and dark markings.
The mottled shapes oscillate between attraction and repulsion.
With their playful dots and bubbly appearance, they seem to invite pareidolic associations, suggesting an almost tender encounter between harmless creatures, while the process of decomposition introduces an underlying sense of contamination.
They can be read as something sweet and infantile, or clinical – as biological specimens, organisms seen under a microscope, diseased ocular globes, epidermal lesions, spores.
The images open onto contrasting perceptions, where intimacy and decay, innocence and the pathological, remain poised in an ambiguous balance.
