The branching structures unfold as indecipherable architectures, opening onto an ambiguous space.
Abstracted from their context, the forms inhabit an area of perceptual permeability, acting as a threshold between reality and vision.
Their scale and orientation remain uncertain, allowing the eye to wander through what may appear as crystalline formations, vegetal structures, or distant landscapes.
Opposite qualities coexist in subtle tension: chaotic and harmonious, delicate and sinister, precious and decaying.
The subjects – dust-covered spiderwebs – are not conventionally beautiful, yet their ordinary materiality appears transfigured, revealing a latent grace.
Time seems slowed, suspended in a kind of uncertain absolute that reveals itself gradually.
Rather than inviting analytical interpretation, the work opens onto a broader perceptual register. It asks to be received before it is understood.
‘Práh’ is an old Slavic word which means ‘threshold’, and ‘prach’ in Czech means ‘dust’.
Here the etymology operates as a resonance, not as an explanation.
