In the Transfert series, Daniela Bozzetto explores the emergence of forms through a process that deliberately suspends predetermined intention.
The work originates in a group of automatic drawings that were later translated into bas-reliefs.
Rather than being conceived as an expression of unconscious content, the automatic gesture is for the artist a way of remaining in a receptive state, allowing something to emerge without a compositional plan.
The hand does not invent a form. It receives a possibility.
Lines accumulate, intersect and converge into intricate structures, gradually forming their own internal organization.
Their elongated, branching lines may evoke vegetal forms, flames or a fleeting human figure, yet they remain deliberately indeterminate.
Hovering between abstraction and recognition, they act as a threshold between gesture and form, presence and appearance, intention and unpredictability, delicacy and ambiguity.
