As virgin

A mass of discarded candle wax becomes an ambiguous landscape of pale forms.

Casual, almost ludic and absent-minded gestures have given rise to its forms, with no sculptural intention, as the soft wax was handled and rolled into clusters of irregular volumes.

Pearlescent and faintly marked by soot, the forms seem to penetrate, fold into and rest against one another, evoking fragments of bodies, skin, fluids.

Their soft and apparently immaculate appearance introduces a tension between intimacy and estrangement, virginal and sensual, untouched and consumed, corporeal and mineral.
