Daniela Bozzetto’s work explores the permeability of forms and perception acting as a threshold between reality and vision.

Investigating the latent qualities and evocative potential of materials the artists calls to life what is beyond the ‘sensible world’, what is essentially unmanifested.

As a penetrating vibration and a gentle chant that do not neutralize each other but resonate in unison, in her work coexist opposite aspects.

The limit between immanence and immateriality, welcoming and disturbing, pure and decomposed, austere and sensuous, is uncertain and the unpleasant appears as sublimated into a subtly unsettling purity.

Her artworks seem to declare the power of small things versus grandiosity, of grace versus force, of caring rather than mastering.

She emphasises the unobvious beauty, the latent qualities of everyday materials, their aesthetic and poetic potential. The materials and subjects are anonymous and spontaneous. The ordinary connotations are subverted and transcended into forms that cannot be easily labelled.

As in oneiric or hypnotic states of cognition the ambiguous realities appear natural and incongruent at the same time.

A temporal alteration seems to occur and the time appears slowed down or suspended.

There is a measure, a balance, between order and disorder, harmony and chaos, as if one would recall and coexist within the other, as if an explosion were integrated into silence.

“Poetry often enters through the window of irrelevance”, M.C. Richards
